Short and sweet

Limoges, early hours. We have just finished the first French tour of 2007. The sold out venue, the Zenith, was superb; a new multi-function building with great acoustics and facilities and a fitting end to this section of the tour. From Tirana, Albania through southern Italy to France, this has been a lovely experience. In three weeks or so we’ll be in the UK but for now we have a break and all fly off in different directions.

Before this I was busy in various studios. Firstly in London with my daughter Gillian, helping her to finish her album Red Handed. It is released 8th May. Check out MySpace: gillianglovermusic. Back in the States, Peter Denenberg and I mixed Dream Theater’s live version of Made In Japan, released later this year. Towards the end of February I did some pre-production with keyboardist Harvey Jones and then spent a week in the studio with Peter Denenberg (co-producing), Randall Bramblett (vocals, Hammond organ, keyboards, saxophone), Joe Bonadio (drums, percussion), Oz Noy (guitars) and Gillian (vocals). There are 15 tracks in the works although how many make it to the final cut I don’t know. Completion will take place as time allows.

Short and sweet, there it is. I should write more but it’s late and I have an early leave. Thanks to our fabulous crew for yet another smooth tour and thanks to all those people who gave us an evening of their lives and made us feel so welcome.

Good luck,

RG
