rogerglover.com - the official site

Hi everybody

Well, that’s a bit grandiose isn’t it? Everybody is a lot of people and I hardly think they’ll be wanting to visit my web site, at least not all at the same time.

Anyway, Wwwelcome to my web site, whose look will change soon. Andreas Thul is the engine behind it, Tim Weeks is doing the design, and I will be supplying the fuel that, with luck, will keep it running. I have to thank all the people at The Highway Star, especially Dave Hodginson and Ed Janx, for their efforts on my behalf.

I will be involved as much as possible. Some points of interest will be:

a) An art archive, where various paintings, drawings, etc that I’ve done over the years will be displayed. Some of it dates back to my art student days.

b) A guest artist section.

c) A Question Time section will be there for anyone wanting to know anything. Anything, that is, except what’s it like being on stage; was Ritchie hard to work with; does Steve smile all the time; how much does Ian drink; what’s the worst gig I’ve ever had, etc., etc.

d) Actually the last question has prompted a thought: journalists are very fond of asking questions like that, always wanting the extremes – best gig, most memorable moment, biggest disappointment, etc. – maybe I should do a page of extremes. A Page Of Extremes. Sounds good, I’ll think about it. In fact let me know what you think – the worst (or maybe the best) that can happen is I’ll ignore you.

e) A place where random writings, poetry, stories, etc. can live.

f) A Thought For The Week, which has already started.

g) All the usual resources regarding my history, news, discography, biography, photo archives (I shall be rummaging through my drawers, sorry dear, looking for odd, private, and not so private moments from over the years), and all the other pages that one is supposed to have on one’s site, what!!! One’s site? Shite more like it. Apologies, I slipped into my alter ego persona for a moment there, something that I do from time to time. He has a name but doesn’t yet want you to know it.

Anyway, there it is folks and it’s about time. The less that I look for,
      the more I find.

Good luck and thanks for everyone’s help and vegetables. And beer.

Good luck,

RG
