saw Deep Purple in Vancouver for the first time in april 1973.it was like an out of body experience.until feb 26/2012
it was by far the best concert,i had ever seen. unfortunately i never saw Deep Purple play again until sept 2004 in Vancouver and once again i was blown away by what i saw and heard. on sunday feb 26 2012,i was fortunate enough to meet the band and along with my ex wife have 2 of the 4 seats on stage. to say that the people i talked to at the “meet an greet” were envious, is an under statement. to meet living legends is a once in a lifetime experience, if your extremely lucky. to sit on the same stage and watch and hear Deep Purple perform, was a dream of a lifetime realized. the performance was over the moon, and yes it replaces the 1973 Vancouver concert as the best concert ive ever seen , by anyone and by a country mile. for this i woukd like to say thank you, for taking time to meet and shake hands with us , and allowing us to sit onstage during the show that was way coool. and very big thank you for all the music ive enjoyed over the 41 years since i first heard “DP In Rock” way back in 1971. over the years ive bought every album, every cd,and now every dvd i could possibly find that has anything to do with DP. i had to replace my “in rock” album at one point as i wore the original one out. money well spent once again thank you for everything , all the best to DeepPurple

    Roger,
Saw you and DP 02-21-12 in Edmonton. It was great.
Brought my 27 yr old boy who’s also a great bass player.
You did yourselves proud by letting the young fella from the Montreal band play with you on ‘Smoke’.
It was wonderful to see you in good shape and fine form after all these years.
Saw your interview on Metal Evolution.
You seem like a really good guy.
You look like you’re relaxed, happy and having a good time.
Please keep rockin’ till you’re 106.
    Best wishes from Northern Alberta.

Congratulations with your birthday, mr. Roger! May this new year of your life bring plenty of good and interesting, let your creativity candle burn and not fade for long, long time.
I’ve been your fan for a long time, including your DP, Rainbow and solo career, but I never knew that we were born at the same day!) Congratulations once more and, if you don’t mind, I’d like to make you a birthday present in a form of a music composition, that I sometime wrote under impresion of DP and Rainbow oeuvre, regretting of being born so late and that the time of real rock is gone. The composition is more like a draft, main theme, if you like it – you may arrange it as you wish.
The problem is that I don’t know how to get into connection, this site is only hope. Good luck and congrats again!
