A charity art exhibition has been organised to raise vital funds and awareness for The Linda McCartney Centre.

The exhibition will be taking place between the 20th and the 24th November 2006 at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. RG’s painting ‘Compassion’ is part of this exhibition and is being auctioned to raise funds for The Linda McCartney Centre.

On April 15 Ian Gillan will release his new CD called Gillan’s Inn.

Having decided to re-visit classic songs from DEEP PURPLE and his solo career, Ian Gillan invited several of his friends to guest on the album: Jon Lord, Joe Elliot, Tony Iommi, Joe Satriani, Janick Gers, Uli Jon Roth, Johnny Rzeznik, Ronnie James Dio, Steve Morse, Jeff Healey, Don Airey, Ian Paice and – of course – RG.

Sony BMG have published a 4CD box called “DEEP PURPLE – Live In Europe 1993” which consists of the Stuttgart and Birmingham shows formerly known as “Come Hell Or High Water”.

The “Butterfly Ball” movie, directed by Tony Klinger, has been released on DVD by Music Video Distributors. The movie features live sequences filmed on October 16, 1975 at the Royal Albert hall mixed with theatrical scenes. For more information, have a look at the discography or check out their site.

edel Records have released a “Rapture Of The Deep” 2CD tour edition. In addition to the complete album (including “MTV”), it features a new version of “Clearly Quite Absurd”, the Japanese bonustrack “Things I Never Said”, a studio recording of “The Well-Dressed Guitar” and five live tracks recorded in London, October 2005.
